As we have stated many times, FightMatch was an idea conceived and built by fighters for fighters. The original idea came from the need to find sparring partners and matchups for our own fight team. It's as simple as that. We had a need and created a technical solution to meet that need which helps us to meet our goals as fighters and trainers.

  Kevin Garcia

  Mr. Garcia is the co-founder of FightMatch.com and absolutely the inspiration behind everything we do. Mr. Garcia has been training in martial arts for over 20 years, earning his 6th degree black belt. He has trained in various styles, such as San Shou (Chinese kickboxing), Muay Thai, Western Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Mixed Martial Arts, Shaolin Kung Fu, and Kempo Karate. He has successfully competed or coached in more than 100 fights, winning regional, national, and international competitions in boxing & kickboxing. Mr. Garcia's passion for teaching afforded him the opportunity to teach martial arts as a public school teacher for Houston Independent School District from 1996-1998. Mr. Garcia ran one of the most successful academies in the Houston area for over 13 years. His classes were featured on local news channels KTRK and KPRC. He has taught thousands of students, hundreds of whom have earned the rank of black belt. Mr. Garcia is excited to be starting FightMatch and giving fighters of all styles a place to go to learn and grow as a fighter as they gather more needed experience.

  Ken Myers

  Mr. Myers is the co-founder of FightMatch.com and the resident fighting nerd that bangs out code introducing new features into FightMatch.com on a regular basis. Mr. Myers is a serial entrepreneur starting and selling several web-based businesses with ownership interests in WhiteFence.com, CollegeDegrees.com, CMN.com, and founding the Longhorn Leads portfolio of businesses. Mr. Myers is frequently listed as one of the top entrepreneurs to follow on Twitter and is happy to offer advice to small business on how to start, grow, and maintain a successful operation. In addition, Mr. Myers trains under Sifu Garcia learning San Shou, Muay Thai, Western Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is determined to grow his martial arts skill and actively preparing for sparring and fighting.
